The Social Work Degree Program Conference of the University of Molise, dedicated to the theme “Social Marginality and Vulnerability in Molise. Experiences and Perspectives”, held on May 4, 2026, represented an important opportunity for discussion and dissemination of the activities and results of the European project RESCALE, promoted through a wide and qualified network of institutional partners and third-sector organizations.

The initiative, hosted at the Department of Economics of the University of Molise in Campobasso, brought together numerous social work professionals, local service operators, representatives of Territorial Social Districts, associations engaged in combating social exclusion and vulnerability, as well as a large number of students enrolled in the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programs in Social Work and Social Policies.

The conference was opened by Daniela Grignoli, President of the Social Work Degree Programs, together with the Director for the Programming of Social and Labour Policies of the Molise Region, whose contribution highlighted the importance of integrated welfare policies and interinstitutional cooperation in addressing social marginality, vulnerability, and promoting social inclusion initiatives.

The event fostered dialogue among universities, regional and local institutions, professional associations, and non-profit organizations, strengthening networking activities and the exchange of best practices on issues such as social emergencies, housing first approaches, severe adult marginality, social vulnerability, and emergency social intervention services.
Among the partners involved in the dissemination of the RESCALE project were the University of Molise, the Regional Council of Molise, the Regional Council of Social Workers of Molise, FIO.PSD – Italian Federation of Organizations for Homeless People, local associations such as the Association of Families Against Marginalization and Drug Abuse, and several institutional bodies engaged in regional social and labour policies.

The conference recorded significant participation from both the public and social service professionals, confirming the strong interest in innovative social intervention models and in the inclusion actions promoted by the RESCALE project. Particularly appreciated was the final round table involving operators of services addressing social marginality and vulnerability in Molise, which provided an opportunity to share experiences, challenges, and future perspectives.

The event was also accredited by CROAS Molise, highlighting its educational and professional value.
